AWE 4 Server -> New Maps

We just added 2 new maps to the AWE4 server rotation.
mp_kob_breakout / mp_sharqi_day

They are on the redirect and soon we will offer a direct download area for all the maps so you can get them in zip format.

Our AWE custom map server has been moved from Atlanta, Georgia to Plano, Texas. Inevitably that means a new IP.

[NERV] takes =Click=

After a not so good start up on round 1 the NERV team finally click.click.clicked it into gear. With just a bit of fine tuning to our kits it was a new game indeed. Trailing at the end of round 1 by 85 points we where able to comeback in round 2 for the win with a very nice 440 point spread.

A gaming community that started out strong and beneficial to PC gamers abound has once again taken a turn for the worst. Not only do they ban/kick/harass players on their servers that beat them in fair play, but they have now started attacking other communities that honestly try to provide a friendly and fair gaming enviroment.

This is a letter for letter (I'd say word, but 50% of it is gibberish) copy and paste of a news article posted on there site and another they have just aquired.

Mine Numbing isn't it ! Apparently there must be bliss in having ignorance. Here's the gist of this obviously limited mental prowess.

Merlincat of MerlincatsFunHouse.com seems to beleive that buying a domain name gives him legal ownership over any content with that name on it. With this mind set he assumes that if he purchased the domain name Ford.com or any other comparable name that he would then hold ownership of all items with such name on them.

Case and point.
Because he did purchase the domain mutinyonlinewarfare.com. He believes he now has legal rights to their logo images (The Pirate) and the name Mutiny Online WarFare.

I'm not going to get into the legalities of this situation but, I will say ... Merlincat ... Did your helmet fall off recently ?

New Custom Maps

Lastnight we added quite a few new maps to the AWE 4 server and updated the rotation.

mp_balarda, mp_agroprom_x01, mp_coldfront, mp_mtl_havoc, mp_pk_harbor, mp_townville, mp_meanstreet, mp_village

Based off the size of the maps we chose to pick Domination mode for the larger ones. If we start to get alot more people playing we might change them back to Team Death Match.
